Special Art Exhibition by DEMISEO

On 8 August 2025, I opened an exhibition in an empty retail space on Lambton Quay, Wellington Central, New Zealand to raise awareness and support for children affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine. It is a project I have been preparing for the past three years while also working full-time as an engineer.

This project is very close to my heart. Growing up, I often heard stories about the devastation the Korean War brought to my home country. Through this exhibition, I hope to shed light on the brutal realities of war and inspire others to support some of Ukraine’s most vulnerable children living through it.

The collection features my original paintings and special art prints, alongside a curated selection of powerful photographs from internationally renowned photojournalists who have generously given permission for their work to be shown. 50% of all profits will be donated to the Voices of Children Foundation, a respected Ukrainian charity supporting children impacted by the war.

The exhibition runs until 5 September 2025, with public hours:
Monday–Friday: 1pm – 6pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am – 6pm
